So, last night my sweetie and I blazed down to San Jose to catch the Coral Reef Adventure Benefit. We got there just in time and had to sit in the front row, of an IMAX movie! It felt like we were in the ocean half the time. Just to our left was Howard and Michelle Hall, the filmmakers. To our right was William Shatner. World free diving champion Tanya Streeter was there as well.
The movie was a real treat. The Hall's did a fantastic job of capturing beautiful coral reef scenes. You've got to see this movie.
Afterwards, there was an auction hosted by William Shatner and Tanya Streeter. What a hoot. That was a lot of fun. Sure, the high rollers bid on such items as two week vacations to amazing dive spots. Me, I bid on a jacket by Deep Outdoors and a CORAL hat. I won at a whopping $65! The highlight of my night. This is a very cool jacket.
Basically, I think the event was a success. Go see the movie. And help preserve the reefs. They'll be gone in our lifetime if we don't watch out.
