Vault of Heaven Theme Art

TempleOfStars.jpgTake a look at this year's Burning Man theme art. If you are an iceplant radio reader and you head out to the playa, I'll be in Area 54 theme camp on the Esplanade... Look for the rings of Saturn, drop on in, get a smoothie and say Hi.

Retrieval Portal

On the top of the box of Chai that I bought at Rainbow Grocery today, it says 'retrieval portal.' I like the sound of that. Retrieval portal. Time for some chai.

Circus Contraption ain't your ordinary circus

2004.08.08 . .

dandle_button.jpgLast night I went to see Circus Contraption with a few friends at Cell Space in San Francisco. They are an amazing group of performers from Seattle. I've been waiting two years to see them since I missed their last performance in the Bay area.

We got front row seats and I was glad we did. The first act, rope lady, did a spectacular and sexy mid air dance on a rope suspended from the ceiling. She twisted and twirled 30 feet in the air as though she were suspended by nothing more than sheer will.

There are no animals in the act. Just a bunch of multi-talented performers that juggle, sing, play instruments, dangle from ropes, perform comedy, act out acrobatics, and more. When Circus Contraption comes to your town, see them!
