OmniOutliner 3 Pro and Podcasts?

I just upgraded to OmniOutliner 3 Pro and I absolutely love the audio recording feature. I can type my notes into an outline and at any point, simply click on the Record button in the toolbar to instantly and easily record a voice memo that is embedded into the outline at that point. Click on the item and it loads up the audio in Quicktime. Slick.
Makes me wonder, since OmniOutliner can export files as OPML documents, I wonder if there is some kind of low tech podcasting solution here? I don't know enough about how Omni stores the audio files yet but seems to me there could be an interesting synthesis between my outliner and podcasts.
