Introducing the Panic Goods store!

2005.02.01 . .

I've had a bright orange Panic shirt for years. I love it. People love it when I wear it. It's a little tight but that don't stop me from wearing it all the time. It's got a bit letter 'P' on it. When people ask me what the 'P' stands for, I make things up like, "polyp" or "popsicle" or "pe*is" or "peppercorn." I suppose I should say it stands for "Panic" now that I think about it but it's more fun to make things up.

"We interrupt this blog for an important message from Cabel:

'When are you guys going to sell your t-shirts?'

Since our very first MacWorld appearance, it's been a question that haunts me day and night. Enjoying a delicious ham sandwich: 'When are you going to sell your t-shirts?'. Skating at the local roller rink: 'When are you going to sell your t-shirts?' Appreciating the finely trimmed bonsai at the local Japanese garden: 'When are you going to sell your t-shirts?'. And while I'm definitely exaggerating, selling shirts (and other physical stuff) is something we've wanted to do at Panic for quite some time now.

The good news is: that time is now.

A new noizum by Canton - Reaktion.mp3

2005.02.01 . .

Canton: "I was blown away when Native Instruments first came out with 'Reaktor' -- it's object-oriented synth/sampler design program. I'm still in love with it, and here's one of the oldest pieces I did featuring reaktor-generated loops..."

(Via Canton's Electronic Noizums.)

Where's Christopher Lydon?

2005.02.01 . .

I agree with Doc. I miss Lydon's interviews too. Before podcasting, there was Christopher's enclosures and I ate them up. In December of 2003, at the Creative Commons party in San Francisco, I had the pleasure of talking with Christopher about his interviews and how much I appreciated them.

Doc Searls: "I miss Chrisopher Lydon's interviews. BopNotes is cool (and much appreciated), but we need Chris podcasting again."
