git your groove on!
Welcome to iceplant radio by DJ dBug
The Singing Yeast Cell
Check this out iceplant users! Well worth listening to. By the way, you'd find this on your iPod if you were subscribed to the PRX podcasting feed, as I am.
"This is a remarkable use of radio,' writes PRX Editorial Board Member Viki Merrick, 'a voyage made of sound combining the very solidness of scientific voice and the diaphanous hand of sound art.' It's the sound -- seriously -- of the mechanical motions of a cell."

Secure your Gmail connections
So, now that I'm going to be using public Wi-fi hotspots, I'm paranoid about security. Already, I've setup an SSH tunnel to check my email and today I learned that I can login to my Gmail account securely by just using a slightly different URL:
For those of you who use Gmail, going to https://gmail.google.com/ (instead of just http://gmail.google.com/ or http://www.gmail.com/) will leave you using SSL the entire session.
